My Mission is to Put the Care Back in Health Care
The number one focus of my practice is quality of care. This is why I incorporate all four of the main therapies that traditional Chinese medicine has to offer into my sessions: acupuncture, herbal medicine, therapeutic bodywork techniques, and dietary therapy. These therapies all enhance the effects of each other and can be combined in many different ways to address a large number of diverse conditions. I find this comprehensive approach to be most effective and believe all of these therapies are equally essential, so I provide them for my patients at no extra charge.
For me quality of care also means conducting private, one-on-one sessions vs. working with multiple patients in the same room. There are three reasons for this. First, it gives us more time and fewer distractions, allowing us to focus so we can thoroughly discuss your case and make a proper diagnosis. Second, it allows privacy for disrobing so that we can access all of the acupuncture points and incorporate therapeutic bodywork techniques like cupping into your treatment. Third, it gives you an optimal space for deeper rest and relaxation, an essential component of healing.
Another important part of my practice is ensuring that I am available for you. This is why I work full time, offer online booking and an answering service 24/7, and retain a second treatment room for last-minute appointments. I am honored to practice the amazing healing system that is Chinese medicine, offering you a natural way to reduce pain, balance emotions, normalize organ function, replenish energy reserves, and stimulate healing. I aim to practice with kindness and compassion and believe that quality of care is the common denominator in all healing. As the famous Dr. Peabody said in his final lecture, " The secret in the care of the patient is to care for the patient."
